Following the devastating loss of life sustained during the First World War, there was a need for a Spiritual gathering in Dartford
The first meetings were unpublicised and held in private houses. However, due to increased membership, by the 1930's a new residence was required. It was to be found in an artist's studio in the garden of 17 Tower Road, Dartford.
Now called the Dartford Christian Spiritual Society, there were regular meetings, which were now open to the public. By 1949, again due to increased demand, a larger property was required. At this time, the house, and land at 15 Tower Road, became vacant and the members worked extremely hard to raise the money to buy it. They were successful, and The Church opened it's doors on 3 June 1956, when it was consecrated and dedicated by Harry Edwards, the renowned Healer.
The Church has continued to grow over the years, under the careful stewardship of the Presidents/Ministers from Jabez Thomas; Charlotte Wimble; Herbert Steadman; and Vi Belman through to it's current Minister and President, Reverend Trevor Williams.
